Figures of Merit (FOM) in Control Room

Passing on a note sent to LHO Operators with regards to the FOMs.  If you have suggestions/desires for what we want/removed on these FOMs please let Dave B. or myself know.

Note on FOMs for Operators:

The Wall TV Screens (aka FOMs) have been approaching a state where what we want on them is becoming useful and consistent.  As part of a shift task, let's make sure these Screens look good.  Once we have a Checksheet, we'll be sure to add checking the FOMs on it.

I was going to make a wiki defining what should be up on the FOMs, but Dave has already started an FOM wiki.  In the wiki, what should be on all seven FOMs is defined.  I've added some current Screen Shots and other notes for Operators with regards to the FOMs.  Please have a look at this wiki (the FOM wiki is also linked off the OPS wiki).

To prevent grumbles about these FOMs, let's make sure we:
  1. Keep these FOMs as they are defined in the FOM wiki
  2. Restart any frozen screens (DTT sessions tend to freeze up...wondering if we want some of these removed)
  3. Remove any non-accepted screens which are adding clutter (especially those pesky MEDM message windows which pop up often!)
A few related FOM notes:

Screen Sharing Application
This application is installed on both the Alarm Handler computer (alarm0) and the computer we have outbuilding videos on (operator2).  Let's use the operator2 computer to run/manipulate FOMs via Screen Sharing (should limit alarm0 computer to ONLY alarms [especially since Screen Sharing tended to crash on alarm0).

Video on iMacs
An observed bug with the iMacs/FOMs is when one has video running on them and you bring up another application (such as medm), it can freeze the entire computer.  So make sure to limit FOMs with video to ONLY video apps.
