Unfortunately h1fw0 could not wait until tuesday maintenance for its solaris server to be rebooted. Its daqd process went very unstable this aternoon so I decided to power cycle the solaris QFS server early to nip this in the bud.
The process is:
-
h1fw0: stop monit
-
h1fw0: stop daqd via telnet
-
h1fw0: umount /ldas-h1-frames
-
h1ldasgw0: # powerdown
-
h1ldagw0: power on via front panel reset button
-
h1ldasgw0: # mount /ldas-h1-frames
-
h1ldasgw0: # shareall
-
h1fw0: # mount /ldas-h1-frames
-
h1fw0: start monit (which in turn starts daqd)
Lets hope this makes h1fw0 stable again. The solaris box did not crash or freeze, so I did not collect any stats. This was a preventive reboot.
