Kate G, Rich A, Calum T, Matt H
Again another big thankyou to Kate, Calum and Rich for coming in for another marathon session today (which is still going I am just getting a jump on the alog). Much appreciated you all coming in on both days of the weekend to do this and help me
Things for the most part went really well today. Today we:
-
finished locking MC1. Rich watched the magnets on the back as I gently pushed the optic back using the front stops until the optic hit the back stops (because back stops locked in place). I then locked barrel EQ stops and removed the front EQ stops on the optic. MC1 now ready for FC
-
Took front EQ stops off PRM and MC3 optic. Both now ready for FCing
-
Installed Kapton washers on pico motors in HAM 2 (Rich will write a bit more on this). All Kapton washers now installed on pico motors in HAM2 and 3
-
Inspection occurred on ISS array cabling/strain relief (Rich will write a bit more on this).
-
SR3 was finished being first contacted and the baffle in front of SR3 put back in place
-
SR3 was released for Arnaud to take TF's overnight if he wants
-
SR2 was first contacted, Face EQ stops put back in place and TCS mirror put back in place
-
Beamsplitter optic finished having its FC applied.
I think thats most of it. Doesnt sound like much but was a full day
So HAM4 and HAM5 should still be on schedule to get all doors on tomorrow (if I can have Apollo guys for doors, SEI guys to check balance (and unlock ISI at the end), Arnaud to do quick TF's for me and Jeff B to put wafer in for me, and someone to help me wipe down in HAMs 4 and 5 I should be able to get unlocked and all doors on in short order), . Here is what I believe are the steps to go:
HAM5 (should do first I think)
-
Double check ISI balance quickly
-
Lock SR3
-
Quick last wipe down
-
Peel FC on SR3
-
Peel FC on small monitor optic on SRM
-
Unlock SRM
-
As unlocking SR3, install wafer
-
Quick pitch TF on each suspension to see if have unlocked correctly
-
Quick last check for tools, etc
-
Unlock ISI
-
Doors on
HAM4
-
Double check ISI balance quickly
-
Chamber clean (hasnt been wiped down yet, and this is why think HAM5 should go first)
-
Install wafer
-
Peel FC on SR2
-
Peel FC on monitor optic on SR2
-
Unlock SR2
-
Quick pitch TF to see if have unlocked suspension correctly
-
Quick last check for tools, etc
-
Unlock ISI
-
Doors on
Additionally I believe Kate/Calum et. al. tomorrow are going to try to finish off the FC on BSC3 (painting the outer "crust" and then move onto starting the 4 triples in HAM2 have to do FC to.
Note: The HAM AUXs ARE NOT locked in HAM2 and I dont plan on locking them at this stage for the work that needs to go on in there. So though the main optics are locked pleas go a little eay in HAM2 if you find yourself workin gin there
Particle counts can be seen below in pics for HAM2. i think Kate has the unenviable job of having collected all the others for all the other chambers and may be writing an alog as I write this myself
