The terminator terminal package has been installed on x1work.  This would be particularly useful when logging in remotely (with X forwarding), as you can enter the command "terminator" and you'll get a terminal window that can be split vertically and horizontally multiple times (using the right mouse button), giving you a new terminal window each time.
