The following links show apparent up-conversion from auxiliary channels into DARM. That is, frequency bands of auxiliary channels that are correlated with different frequency bands of DARM (e.g. the 0.1-0.3 Hz seismic band is correlated with the 130-400 Hz band of DARM). The plots are comparing the band-limited-rms of two different channels and frequency bands. Each point on the plots corresponds to the blrms of a 16 second interval. The links are organized by frequency band pairs. Within each pair of bands, the channel pairs are ordered according to the probability that the slope of the regression line could be zero. Higher in the list means lower probability that the slope could be zero. The regression is done on the 10th percentile level of DARM in each of the frequency bins. This is because we want to see if there is upconversion when the interferometer is working at its best, during the most sensitive 10% of the time. For bands such as 130 - 400 Hz the 60 Hz harmonics have been notched out. 55 - 65 Hz is actually (55 - 59 Hz) + (61 - 65 Hz).
The most interesting finding at LHO was that ground motion in the 1-10 Hz band and in the 0.1- 0.3 Hz band is correlated with DARM level in the 130-400Hz band. This was also the case at LLO (for 1 -10 Hz motion), with the addition that there was also a strong correlation between the 0.1-0.3 Hz band of ground motion and the 55-65 Hz band of DARM, probably indicating that motion around the microseismic peak is intermodulating with motion around 60 Hz, producing sidebands. Trial factors were not taken into account for the reported p values.
LHO (Obs Intent times from June 9 - June 14)
For the selected dates above the next two band pairings had multi-state issues, by that I mean differing sensitivities resulting in multiple clumps of points on the plots, nullifying our normal analysis of the slope. Because of that, I am linking to the results of indivual days from June. These results are not nearly as blatant.
