TITLE: 10/3 DAY Shift: 15:00-23:00UTC (00:00-8:00PDT), all times posted in UTC
STATE OF H1: Observation at 75Mpc
SUPPORT: Evan, Daniel, Robert, Jordan
INCOMING OPERATOR: Cheryl
SHIFT SUMMARY:
Started off shift with H1 in DOWN mode. Established a game plan by talking with Mike & Daniel over the phone. Evan arrived and started investigations while I re-aligned, and after a few hours we had H1 back up. It has been up with a decent range around 75Mpc (with a few of the usual ETMy saturations).
LLO is having issues with useism. Robert is taking advantage of their downtime to run PEM injections.
If you squint your eyes and look sideways, you can see the useism beginning to trend down. Winds are around 12-15mph.
Shift Activities:
-
15:56-16:39 Ran Initial Alignment
-
16:54-16:55: Robert into LVEA to get parts
-
17:11-17:23: Robert heading toward MY to check his beam tube glitch set up in the Beam Tube Enclosure
-
17:31 GRB Alert. H1 not locked.
-
17:43 Attempting Locking again with different ALS_X ASC Pit Gain (Evan)
-
18:23: H1 Back to Observation
-
21:20-21:30 Robert & roll up doors to stage for PEM injections
-
??: Not sure of when this happened, but noticed a red box appear on the Ops Overview about a GraceDB Querying Failure & ran a start up.
-
22:22 After chatting with Doug at LLO, Ended Observation Mode for Robert's approved PEM injections. I initially switched Observatory Mode to "Planned Engineering" at 22:22, but decided to change it to "Commissioning" at 22:25. Does that sound good for Injections? Wasn't clear to me.
-
22:51 Back to Observation Mode
-
ETMy Saturations: 19:36, 20:01, 20:35, 21:06, 21:10, 21:51
