TITLE: 1/16 DAY Shift: 16:00-00:00UTC (08:00-04:00PDT), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Observing with Injections.
Incoming Operator: Nutsinee
Support: Sheila
Quick Summary:
PEM Injections at the beginning of the shift & then a good 3.5hrs devoted to recovering from a lockloss.
Shift Activities:
-
18:00 COMMISSIONING (Robert driving down to EY [x239] for PEM Injections; he entered EY at 18:07).
-
19:37 Lockloss (Robert was at EX for PEM Injections, but we had been running with some really high low freq seismic motion [useism ~0.9um/s & EQ band at n elevated 0.25um/s).
-
Just before 0:00, H1 was taken to Observing after talking with Adam. He has scheduled a suite of double coincidence hardware injections from roughly 0:00 - 2:00 utc (these will be [5] Burst & [1] CBC). So now H1 & L1 is reserved for Hardware Injections
-
After the injections, Robert would like to try and finish some measurements (shaking cryopump at MX)....as long as he can get a key to get inside MX. He also has BS upconversion measurements he would like to run as well, but he can also do that tomorrow.
-
Once the hardware injections & Robert's PEM injections are complete tonight, we should be done with primary Post-O1-measurements! If H1 is locked, Nutsinee can leave it locked overnight, but that's a judgement call. She was inquiring about switching Blend Filters due to the noisy signals we see (due to high seismic), but will try to be hands-off during these hardware injections.
-
It is sounding like there will not be a need for operator coverage tomorrow (but Robert, and possibly others may come in for commissioning work).
