The data dropouts observed in second trend data (see alog 28579) are a result of missing data caused by restarts of frame writer 1. If the raw data is used instead of second trend data, you can see that dropouts are not present, see attached example. Both nds0 and nds1 are reading the same second trend data, and only frame writer 1 is currently writing second trend data as we explore frame writer instability.
fw0 continues to be 100% stable, fw1 is now restarting about 12 times a day.
Currently fw0 is writing the two 64 second frames (commissioning and science) and fw1 is writing all four frame types (commissioning and science 64S-frames, second and minute trends). Hence the second trend drop-outs when fw1 restarts. Next week we will work on making the second trends contiguous.
