Shift Summary - Day
TITLE: 01/26 Day Shift: 16:00-00:00 UTC (08:00-16:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Observing at 66Mpc
INCOMING OPERATOR: Nutsinee
SHIFT SUMMARY:
Locked for the better part of the shift. There was a small issue with a lock filter that Sheila left from the night before. There was also the ongoing re-aligning issues with Y-Arm after lockloss. Otherwise, no real discouraging issues. Lockloss reasons were sudden and not obvious.
LOG:
  • troubleshooting INPUT_ALIGN since lockloss this morning

18:00 Delayed entry: Cleaning at both Mid stations since around 17:00UTC: also Betsy is at MY after she went to check on EY upon getting a LOW TEMP Verbal Alert and then a Dust Monitor Alarm; Cheryl went to the warehouse.

18:02 Found that the Locking Filters had been turned off for IM4 which was causing a lit of difficulty doing initial alignment.

18:26 Karen leaving MY

18:30 FOLLOW UP: Sheila called to request remote CDS access and revealed that it was she that had turned the filters for IM4 off. She has since spoken to Jenne and this will be resolved by reloading the ALIGN_IFO Guardian node after the next lockloss and certainly before the next initial alignment.

19:24 Mark and Fil going to MY to check 3IFO inventory.

21:13 Noticed a computer monitor on in the LVEA on the LVEA North Cam that can't really be identified clearly due to the misorienting lack of ambient light. It turned out to be a reflection of the blue LEDs on the ISC rack at HAM6.

22:18 Lockloss (aLogged)

23:45 NLN. Ran a2l script.

00:05 Intention bit Undisturbed. Handing off to Nutsinee.
