Addition:

I restarted Verbal Alarms, it emails TJ, so talked to him on the way out of the building so he knows
after Jim rebooted and StripTools were no longer flatlined, PI mode 28 had run up, what's interesting is that it wasn't getting worse, but it was high, so I changed the gain from -5000 to +5000 and the mode RMS came back down
after going out of Observe, I ran a test on ITMX Roll Mode - increased gain to +100, switched on -30deg phase, indication was that this in the direction of improving the damping, but no time to explore other options
