STATE of H1: Observing at 71Mpc
INCOMING OPERATOR: Ed
SHIFT SUMMARY: locked entire shift, tried some damping on mode 22 and mode 23, and tried to damp mode 26
LOG:

tour 1: 20:12UTC
tour 2: 22:00UTC
17:30-20:30UTC, I tried to damp modes 22 and 23, and mode 26, not worse, not better
- mode 26 is at -170000 gain, and still PI damp out is still only +/-200 counts
- modes 22 and 23 are off, but I left the phases that I tried

more about modes 22 and 23:

tried gain of 1000 on mode 22, it rang up, set it back to zero
then started at gain of -1, and tried -2 on both mode 22 and 23
changed phases, negative was better than positive
then turned mode 23 off and focused on mode 22 (it was larger / higher)
tried combinations and eventually after it damped I turned it off and left it off
Terra called in response to a voicemail left earlier
she advised raising the gain on mode 26 until PI Damp was hundereds to thousands of counts, but not so high that it's 10000+ counts
I turned the gain on mode 26 to -170000, and got a couple hundred counts on PI Damp, and left it at that gain
