This morning I was able to confirm what had given Corey trouble on Sunday night regarding the inability to reset SUS watchdogs on the new Debian work stations (see LHO aLOG 34084). The problem arises from a bug that has continually been re-identified over the past years (see FRS Ticket 4231, LHO aLOG 24950, LLO aLOG 24156, FRS ticket 4180 etc.): the "reset all" button is actually a PERL script, 
     /opt/rtcds/userapps/release/sus/common/scripts/wdreset_all.pl
which calls a depricated PERL module / library, 
     /opt/rtcds/userapps/release/guardian/CaTools.pm

I will work with TJ and Dave today to create a python version of the two-line script and update the MEDM call.
