Krishna drove out from Seattle this morning to provide moral support, so we tried resurrecting BRS-Y. After another two hours of trying, we finally got it in a position where it's usable, though still on the low side of it's range. It should be functional for another couple of months, though I'll want to fully assess that after the box heats up a bit overnight. It seems like most of the difficulty of adjustment was coming from the mass having a "happy place" that was too far beyond a usable place (i.e some alignment of contact grooves would pull the mass too far one way). This "happy place" is in the direction of the BRS drift, so maybe we'll be luckier next time. Anyway, it's running now, we can go back to the nominal SEI_CONF state of WINDY.
