- Typically excellent duty cycle of 78%. Monday's lock had started on Sunday and ended on Tuesday (49h 42m). Most lock losses were intentional --- to perform an alignment (A2L) or commissioning, operator error, or wind gusts (see alogs 34455, 34480, 34481, 34483, 34503).
- Bounce and roll modes are still a problem early in locks and also tend to arise before lock losses.
- BNS range this week was about 5 Mpc lower than for my DQ shift last week (65 Mpc vs 70 Mpc). I could find no obvious cause for this range degradation.
- A peculiar glitch occurred at 01 Mar 01:50 (found in early rounds of hVeto). It was seen in a MIC channel (H1:PEMEX_MIC_EBAY_RACKS_DQ) and (via Evan) is due to an airplane. Details will be given in a separate alog.
- High wind generated ground motion and further reduced the BNS range on 1 Mar.
- HVeto reported glitches associated with several OPLEV channels on 27 Feb (following a similar behavior on 26 Feb). These channels are known to glitch. Is this a priority to fix? Reduced involvement in glitchng on 28 Feb and 1 Mar.
- On all three days, there was excess ground noise for an hour or so starting at 13:00. On 27-28 Feb, this was accompanied by a drop in BNS range and appearance of excess noise from about 50-100 Hz in h(t). On 1 Mar, the IFO was not locked during this period. This feature appears to be due to truck traffic on Route 10.
