TITLE: 07/01 Day Shift: 15:00-23:00 UTC (08:00-16:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Observing at 67Mpc
INCOMING OPERATOR: Jeff
SHIFT SUMMARY: First lost lock at 18:14 UTC. Made it back to NLN with no real problems. Upon reaching NLN the RF noise was highly elevated. Talked to Keita (forget he was on vacation), then Vern, then Richard. Richard instructed me to try lowering the modulation depth until it settled and then bring it back to nominal. Lowering the modulation depth did not seem to have an affect. Eventually the lock broke at 19:43 UTC. After sitting at DOWN for a while the RF appeared to settle and I tried relocking. After a few lock losses along the way I made it back to NLN. At that point the RF noise appeared gone. I ran a2l and put the IFO into observing. No issues since.
