QUICK SUMMARY:
As Jeff has already summarized, this shift started with a fire burning out to the west (slightly north). As I drove in, SR240 was closed at the RT10 intersection. Mike was on-site with Jeff when I arrived. We could clearly see a fire line in the roof camera (& also by eye when we went up to the roof shortly after midnight). From Jeff's photos, and maps estimating the fire to be out on a hill/ridge about 18-19miles out (on the Umtanum Ridge which runs along the Columbia near Priest Rapids Dam and ends near the Vernita Bridge). We monitored the fire for a few hours and then after smoke obscured our view at about 1:30am, we had another view clear up at around 2:30am and at this time we could not see any flames. Mike left at around 2:45am. Called Hanford Patrol (non-emergency line) at 1am & then again at 3:05am & they had no update other than they are still fighting the fire.
On the scientific front, H1 has been humming along. It has been locked for 6hrs hovering around 65Mpc.
