We vented IP8, removed it and installed a zero-length reducer having a 1.5" angle valve pump port.  The gate valve leaked at a comparable leak rate as that of IP7's gate valve but this is of little consequence as we used a pump cart to evacuate the volume between the closed gate and the 1.5" pump port valve.  I will leave the Main Turbo pumping the Diagonal volume overnight.
