IO work today:
- IM1 tower bolts were torqued, some moving 1/4 turn, all bolts that hold the blade springs needed additional tightening
- no bolts that adjust the blade springs were torqued, changes in alignment were measurable but not so large they are a problem
- alog 38808
- Alignment irises in fron of MC1 and MC2 (new iris, MC2 #2) were used to align the beam from the PSL
- the HWP used to alter the polarization of the main beam was installed between the PZT and bottom periscope mirror
- PSL power is 0.24W, and the rotation stage is locked at this position
- Alignment iris directly in front of MC2 (MC2 #1) was shifted in the +Y direction when compared to the position I calculated from Luke's Master IO position spreadsheet. Two irises are needed to align MC2 Trans, so this iris may need to be adjusted.
Tomorrow:
- check the alignment of the PSL beam at MC1 and MC2
- check/adjust MC2 iris (MC2 #1)
- install the aux. laser and steering mirrors on HAM3
- align MC2 Trans
- Cheryl, Corey, Ed, Keita, TJ (restored optic alignments)
