Quick summary of recent tasks:
- Beckhoff updates to the new 70W version of the code
- Installed the 70W amplifier diode box and wired up the diode box and the interlocks
- Disconnected the HPO diode boxes and drained them
- Inspected the fibre ends of the recently pulled front end fibres (to be used for the 70W). These were very dirty (at both ends) and needed cleaning. Connected the fibres to the 70W amplifier diode box (using T1500002 as a rough guide)
- Undertook a slope measurement of the 70W amplifier diodes. These correspond very well to the values taken before shipping from neoLASE (data taken from T1700327).
- Connected up the 70W amplifier to the water manifold.
- One of the connectors of the 70W amplifier leaked (at the thread to the housing). Connection was very loose. Tightening up the connector sealed the leak.
- We found that the power meter connector to the flow sensor had a wire with its cladding partially stripped off and could cause an intermittent short. Im pretty certain this is the case of the power meter watchdog faults that LHO were seeing occur.
- We also need to probably cut and re-terminate some of the cables going to the manifold from the control box, so as to get the additional flow sensors into the system.
- Additionally though the water is flowing work needs to be done to "quieten" down the water manifold
- Connected fibres to the 70W amplifier (after cleaning and Turned on the 70W amplifier (to ~15Ampls) to test that it turns on and that ASE/pump light is emitted. (it does).
- Working on updating various documents related to the 70W work
