Corner
- Torqued IP5 studs metal on metal
- Got XBM & YBM on turbos/scrolls and leak checked:
- IP6 valve (beam tube side) and PT-170 gauge with background at 3.1e-9 Torr-L/s (there will be no IP6 installed here until rebuilt unit ships from vendor in May)
- IP5 + valve with background at 2.0e-9 Torr-L/s. We had some troubles pumping down IP5 with pump carts. The little red "cube" kept tripping, even with a 'hung' turbo. The trusty old pump cart survived the long wait through ~10 Torr. We thought we had a big air leak somewhere, but all checked out. IP5 isolation gate valve was left open to pump down with main YBM volume
- New GV on XBM turbo is leak tight with background at 3.3e-9 Torr-L/s
- Vented vertex
- Loosened bolts on IP3 to prepare for R&R tomorrow (no, not that kind of R&R). Left its isolation GV open
- Loosened HAM5 doors bolts
EY
- Torqued IP11 stack studs metal to metal
- Installed BSC10 door and successfully pumped down annulus (i.e. no leaks)
- Turned on QDP80 to warm up
- Purge air scroll #4 is loud, so we turned it off for now. Might be a bad one-way valve
- Connected charged battery pack for turbo
We will start roughing down EY tomorrow.
Checked on CP4 at MY.
We have an aux cart running at Y-End right next to the BRS, it will be there until pressure at the BSC10 annulus system is kept at nominal by its ion pump.
