As indicated in Peter's alog here, the NPRO in the 35W FE has been replaced.  The new NPRO is aligned to the MOPA and we are currently working on mode matching the NPRO to said MOPA.  Currently we have only been able to get 2 states of mode matching:

• Good output power of 35-36 W, but horrible output mode quality (worse than the previous NPRO).
• Low output power of ~32 W, but much better output mode quality.
  • If we try to operate the pump diodes at a higher current to increase the output power the MOPA quickly becomes "over-pumped," destroying all semblance of a TEM00 mode.

We are currently working on finding a mode matching solution that gives both the required power and good output mode quality.
