CDS Maintenance Summary

Swap BIO card in h1seih23 to fix gain switching

Jim W, Richard, Dave:

We replaced the Contec 64/64 BIO card in h1seih23's IO Chassis.

original card SN GCRBS96004324
new card SN ADRBS96001349

The power sequence was: stop models, take h1seih23 out of Dolphin fabric, power down cpu, power down IO Chassis, power down all chassis attached to IO Chassis (AA, AI, BIO), swap Contec card, power up all chassis except AI chassis, power up h1seih23 cpu, wait for models to start, power up AI chassis.

Power cycle of h1seih45, ham4 ISI noise investigation

Jim W, Richard Dave

We performed a full rack power cycle for h1seih45. Power sequence was identical to followed for h1seih23 except that instead on powering down only IO attached chassis, all the chassis in the CER rack were power cycled.

WP7725 raw minute trend offload for h1tw1

Dave:

I completed the offloading of the old raw minute trend files from h1tw1 (/trend SSD-RAID) to h1ldasgw1 (/trend-1 SATABOY.) In this final phase, h1nds1 was configured to serve these data from their final archived location (this required a restart of h1nds1 daqd). The old files were then deleted from h1tw1's /trend SSD-RAID, reducing its usage from 94% to 11%.

WP7743 Add channels to DAQ GDS broadcaster for DetChar

Dave:

Four new channels were added to H1BROADCAST.ini and h1broadcast0 was restarted. The channels are:

H1:PSL-DIAG_BULLSEYE_[PIT, YAW, WID, SUM]_OUT_DQ

CDS network switch port security caused PSL communications issues

Peter, Dave:

I recently enabled port security on the switch sw-lvea-aux for the port which serves h1pslctrl0 (Beckhoff controller located in diode room). This morning when the PSL Laptop located inside the enclosure was turned on, it caused an intermittent network problem to h1pslctrl0, however the network between it and the laptop was not impacted.

I worked with Peter to determine the network configuration for this system, and made a drawing (DCC-T1800354). To resolve the problem port security has been turned off for this port, and the switch description updated to explain why it should be kept off. I have deemed this to not be a concern, since the network ports are situated in very secure locations (diode room, LVEA PSL enclosure).

BTW: we found the keyboard attached to h1pslctrl0 is not working and should be replaced.
