introducing ndscope
I have installed a prototype of a new dataviewer/pydv replacement that I'm currently calling "ndscope".
Features:
- fast online data with adjustable lookback
- mouse pan/zoom that auto-fetches new data as needed
- auto transition to second/minute trends depending on time scale displayed
- NDS1 and NDS2 support (can pull data from remote locations)
- reasonable performance
Planned features:
- support gregorian time specifications/display (not just GPS)
- save/restore templates
- triggering, for true scope behavior
- X/Y cursors
- channel selection UI
- save plot image/data
- custom colors
- better time axis labeling
- online backfill for slow channels (striptool mode)
It should be available as "ndscope" in the path. Please submit feature requests and bug reports directly to the ndscope issue tracker.

NOTE: dataviewer will be phased out in the near future, and ndscope is it's intended replacement. Please keep that in mind while testing, and test extensively and provide feedback, so both you and ndscope are ready when dataviewer is decommissioned.
