We investigated the ALS DIFF noise which shows up when the COMM PLL is locked.

We removed the FDD from the COMM PLL path, this did not help.

We moved the COMM VCO physically to another location, this also did not help. 

Next idea is to add a spare Phase-Frequency Discriminator, to have separate COMM and DIFF PFD chassis.
