Because  h1tw1's SSD is very close to full (97%) I don't have time to do the full checksum copy verification.  Jonathan suggests that perhaps we have time to checksum the source files before they have to be deleted to make space (the deletion can proceed in parallel on directories which have been check-summed)

I am check-summing the source files from /trend/minute_raw_1229108478/[0-ff] and recording the results in /trend/minute_raw_1229108478_cksums/[0-ff]. The check sum file is the name of the source file with a .cksum suffix.
