TITLE: 04/24 Eve Shift: 23:00-07:00 UTC (16:00-00:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Lock Acquisition
INCOMING OPERATOR: Ed
SHIFT SUMMARY:
Notes: Seismically quiet. Porcupine spotted around the OSB nibbling on the bushes (photos attached).
Georgia made a Guardian change requiring a couple of LOADs for a couple of nodes at the next lockloss (& when Guardian is not actively logging through states---i.e. it has a green box). See her alog.
Overflows for H1SQZ & H1OAF prior when locking (Sheila cleared these earlier).
ALSx Polarization > 25% DIAG_MAIN notifications flashing on/off most of the night (as it has most of the week).
LOG:
- 23:00 Locking H1
- 23:07 Kyle back from mid-stations
- 23:20 - 0:02 Starting alignment
- Green Arms: ALS WFS DOF 3 was pretty slow to converge for both X & Y's pitch and yaw (with X-arm taking longer). Gave it about 10min, but Could have waited longer.
- 0:02 Locking
- Had one DRMI lock which lasted a few seconds and dropped...but it did not go all the way DOWN & stayed at ACQUIRE_DRMI_1F (not sure I've seen that).
- Next DRMI lock, stayed at OFFLOAD_DRMI_ASC to touch up PRM (mostly) & SRM alignment to get POP18 maximized (above 60).
- Had a notification about "needing to find carrier by hand" for the OMC. So, I took OMC_LOCK node to DOWN (which takes seconds) & then selected READY_FOR_HAND_OFF (this did the trick so we could continue with ISC_LOCK).
- 1:09 OBSERVING
- 2:39 - 3:39 GRB Stand Down period (possibly GCN #24166)
- 7:15 Handed off to Ed and H1 is going on 6hrs 5min of OBSERVING
