Fast 4.3 Southern Calif EQ: Transitioned To EARTHQUAKE
Noticed an EQ on SEISMON. Only a 4.3 but it was off southern CA coast and R-wave was within a minute of arrival when I noticed.
- EQ Response graph listed this in the EARTHQUAKE (green) zone. I was just going to monitor, but then I figured I should act since it was close and approaching fast!
- No VERBAL was given
- Screenshot shows all pertinent screens related to this earthquake.
LOG Of Activity:
10:52 Notice EQ fastly approaching on SEISMON (no verbal given):
- 10:55:38 Transitioned to EARTHQUAKE (tens of second after SEISMON said R-wave passed)
- 10:56:00 Big increase/spike on ndscope!
- 10:56:40 begin seeing slight increase of blrms on strip tool of ISI_CONF
- 10:57:00 Tidal signals increase a little
- 10:57:30 First spike on wall (nuc5) BLRMS
- 11:03:29 ndscope blrms is back to normal
- 11:08:20 transition back to WINDY (after about 12min of EARTHQUAKE state).

5.0 Japan EQ at 11:19 (Seismon lists this as barely on the line of EARTHQUAKE-worthy).
- 11:22 transition to EARTHQUAKE
- 11:24 Tidal signals increase a little (probably due to change of ISI state)
- 11:26 Small spike on ndscope!
- Nothing observed on this one!
