(JeffK, TJ, Sheila, Corey)
H1's made it back to OBSERVING at 2:40pm local time. This was after Mainteance Day activities ended fairly close to noon.
Started with running the ISC_LOCK DOWN state & running an alignment.
Notes On Alignment:
- X-arm green locked up easily and was aligned. Y-arm green was hard for me to get above 0.7. JeffK was able to fix the alignment (via ETMy & TMS).
- After X&Y green arms looked OK, Tried the new INIT_ALIGN guardian node (JeffK, TJ). [NOTE: this is not yet ready for primetime, so do not use until TJ gives us the OK on it.]
- Unfortunately this drove off the green X-arm.
- It does not work for BS (MICH) alignment yet (so paused it and used ALIGN_IFO).
- Other than the two issues above, they used this new guardian node to align H1 this afternoon.
Notes on Locking:
- PRMI was tweaked up a little, and then selcted NOMINAL_LOW_NOISE, and made it all the way through up to Squeezing.
- Stuck with LOCKING_OMC state for SQZ_LO_LR.
- Sheila requested SQZ_READY_IFO for SQZ_MANAGER,
- This gave us a better signal for H1:SQZ-OMC_TRANS_RF3_DEMOD_RFMON (previouslyit was at -40, but went up to its normal -20 after requesting SQZ_READY_IFO & SQUEEZING.
Promptly took H1 to OBSERVING, but unfortunately it only stayed in OBSERVING for a dozen minutes.
