TITLE: 07/16 Day Shift: 15:00-23:00 UTC (08:00-16:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Preventive Maintenance
INCOMING OPERATOR: Ed
SHIFT SUMMARY:
Fairly light Maintenance Day, and because of this I went for locking before noon and did NOT run an alignment. Observing evaded us post-Maintenance due to some Commissioning work for the first few hours, but eventually managed a few minutes of OBSERVING, only to be done in by an earthquake!

- For PRMI, locking might have been helped by the 2-click tweak I did of the PRMI.
- For DRMI, it locked after about 5min, and was locked for a few seconds, but then ISC_LOCK requested PRMI! TJ mentioned there is an automation feature which requests PRMI after a few (~ minutes of no DRMI locking.
- (2) PRMI locks have ended with full locklosses taking H1 DOWN!
- Sheila looked into this, too.
- Third DRMI attempt involved some SRM pit/yaw tweaks while flashing & it soon locked up (and quick enough to not be taken down by ISC_LOCK for "trying PRMI"!
- 18:25 Restart of CALCS, H1ASC, DAQ (Dave)
- 18:29 TCSy laser went OFF! TJ turning ON on floor. (PEM rack nearby, so TCS might have gotten bumped!)
- 19:30 PEM work in CER (Robert)
- 20:20 Incoming CA earthquake on Verbal
- 20:21 Transitioned to EARTHQUAKE while trying to get to DC Readout (due to 4.3 EQs in central/northern california). Clearly saw it on ndscope
- 20:37 switching back to WINDY
- 20:50-21:20 EX/EY Sweep
- 21:09-21:26 COMMISSIONING Time: Daniel on floor for measurement (for REFL port at 2W)
- 21:37-21:43 COMMISSIONING Time: REFL port measurement at NLN / 37W.
- 21:31 LVEA Sweep, but WAP left ON for Daniel (TJ)
- 22:28 Accelerometer run out to VPW chillers. Be mindful of cable which is across the Y-arm road---only drive over cable protector "bumps" (Robert)
- 22:27 OBSERVING
- 20:14 Incoming Guam Mag 5.6 earthquake on Verbal
- 22:34 Transitioned ISI CONFIG to EARTHQUAKE
- 22:43 LOCKLOSS Where we saw tidal signals get driven...assuming due to this Guam EQ.
- Handing off an unlocked H1 to Ed.
