New Septum Viewport Assembly

(Travis S, Betsy W, Gerardo M)

Assembly of the septum viewport was completed this afternoon after a slight glitch with one of the o-rings, somehow it managed to squirt out, removed and then replaced such o-ring with a new one.  Assembly was completed per procedure E1100484.

Leak testing was done after, with a background of 0.3E-10 torr-L/s at the leak detector. Using a rate of 1 LPM of helium at the rotometer the background went up to 5.5E-10 torr-L/s.  As I returned the helium wand to it's source I noticed that the reading at the rotometer was now at 0.4 LPM.  I wanted to do another leak check.  However I managed to keep the He on the upper joint for to long that I managed to saturate the o-rings with He.  The leak detector background went up, so I waited.

Now after performing a second test, this time with a background at the leak detector of 5.0E-10 torr-L/s I tested the different joints in the viewport and the background at the leak detector went up to 5.5E-10 torr-L/s, this means that the viewport passed it's leak test.

Heading home now.
