Locked mostly in Observe, some SQZ intervention needed, delay of 25 minutes after second intervention before H1 range increased

  • Image 2: SQZ guardians after I put the SQZ_Manager to INIT -> Down -> SQUEEZING, I only cyled SQZ_MANAGER, and not all SQZ guardians changed state
  • Image 3: shows how SQZ channels changed when H1 range dropped
  • Image 4: shows how SQZ channels changed after my first attempt, however this did not produce any noise improvement in H1
  • Image 5: shows SQZ ASC changes after first attempt
• 16:21UTC - H1 back in Observe
• 17:24UTC - H1 out of Observe
  • this time I forced every SQZ guardiand through INIT -> Down, and waited there
  • then I used SQZ_MANAGER to go back to squeezing, setting it from DOWN -> SQUEEZING
  • this relocked SQZ, though this still did not produce a  change in H1 range (which is usually the case, that when SQZ relocks H1 range goes up)

  • Image 7: changes from before my first attempt to after my second attempt
  • Attachment 8: trends showing which SQZ quardians wer change and if/when they stalled, both attempts
• 17:35UTC - H1 back to Observe
• 25 minutes later...
• 17:59UTC - SQZ comes back to life, and H1 range goes up over the next 200 seconds
  • H1 range goes from 103Mpc to 113Mpc
• 18:18UTC - verbal alarm, incoming EQ, M 6.1 - 125km NNE of Visokoi Island, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands
• 19:30UTC - Attachment 9, showing about an hour of trends, showing that SQZ remains locked, and H1 range drops as the EQ rolls through
  • Attachment 10: about 5 minutes of SQZ channels during the EQ
