Lockloss 1921 UTC

Cause unknown. Seemed to be fast, no signs of a struggle or anything ringing up.

Attempt 1:

  • ALS Yarm seemed to be off in yaw from looking at the camera. Flashes are no greater than 0.7.
    • After 5 minutes:
    • ALSY P: 121.6 -> 120.4    Y: -135.2 -> -135.0
    • Interesting how it seemed off in yaw more from the camera, but I ended up moving pitch more to increase flashes.
  • ALS_COMM tried to fine tune IR with little to no signal. Started at 19:32. At 1939 I took ALS_COMM back to LOCKED and then rerequested IR_FOUND because it was not moving outside of -300 +/- 100. This didn't help. Searched by hand +/- 10000 or so and could not find anything. Brought ISC_LOCK to DOWN to try again (~1950 UTC). This seemed to also be an issue for Ed's reacquisition last week, but no solution or reason was given.

Attempt 2:

  • It found IR for COMM with no trouble this time.
  • Started DRMI at 1956. Mini locks, but not enough, PRMI at 2001. PRMI locked at 2004, PRM Y seemed to be the furthest out. DRMI locked shortly after.
  • LOCK LOSS 20:22 - INCREASE_POWER

Attempt 3:

  • Made it NLN without issue or intervention. 2057 UTC

This fast lock loss seems exactly the same as one of the ones from yesterday (alog53122), which we have seen recently. Again, I'm not sure if the squeezer is actually causing the lock loss, but it is one of the only channels I can find doing anything before the lock loss.
