Transition to Day Summary

TITLE: 12/24 Day Shift: 16:00-00:00 UTC (08:00-16:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Observing at 117Mpc
OUTGOING OPERATOR: Niko
CURRENT ENVIRONMENT:
    SEI_CONF state: WINDY
    Wind: 2mph Gusts, 1mph 5min avg
    Primary useism: 0.03 μm/s
    Secondary useism: 0.26 μm/s

Microseism is at about 0.2um/s (so will keep CPS Diff ON).
QUICK SUMMARY:

Niko just finished the PEM Injection.  Since this was slated to be a "Maintenance Day Light", decided to go back into OBSERVING (L1 & V1 were in OBSERVING).

I waived OFF Karen's cleaning at the end stations & LVEA since it wasn't on our list of activities for today.  Speaking of which....

Will transition to PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE as soon as we have Accepted Activities begin.  Here are items listed on the board:

* For measurements out on the floor, I was not totally sure as to how to handle BRS.  Texted Jim and he suggested going to:  WINDY_NO_BRSY

Of course the Earth had to make it interesting on #MaintenanceDayLight!

While Gerardo and Kyle will be doing work in EY, we just gott an alert for an 6.0 earthquake from northern Argentina.  So we'll have to see how this plays out (since I'll probably be going to the WINDY_NO_BRSY  state for the EY work).  Stay tuned to see how this Maintenance/EQ dance goes!

NOTE:  For Maintenance Day Light, I will be stationed more near the Site Cameras to observe activies there "with my peripheries".  If I observe anything (i.e. entry into EY VEA) which should take us out of Observing, I will certainly do so.
