I have created a new machine which sends EPICS alarms as text messages to cell phones. It is a GC machine which is also on the iLIGO CDS network. Its names are:

It is running a modified version of the email_alarms.pl script, ported from solaris to linux and using burt in place of caGet. This system can send emails directly, even to Sprint phones. So it is not dependent upon the robinson email proxy which the old system needed.
