h1sush56 model work

WP9871

Jeff, Jonathan, Erik, Dave

The model h1susopo (dcuid=22) was replaced by h1sussqzout. The model h1susomc (dcuid=46) was replaced by h1susifoout.

Jonathan made DAQ puppet changes to create a new master with the model changes.

Erik made the corresponding RGC puppet changes.

We did a final build/install of the sus models h1sussqzout and h1susifoout. Also h1isiham6 was rebuilt because a Dolphin IPC channel had been removed from susomc which was being received by this model.

The testpoint.par file was hand edited and the entries for dcu 22 and 46 removed. They were added back by the RCG when the models were installed.

Yesterday I had hand edited H1.ipc to make the model name changes, no further changes were needed.

We first restarted the model h1isiham6 on h1seih16. We had some issues with 'grounding out' the removed IPC channel (H1:SUS-OMC_M1_WDMON_BLOCK_DOLPHIN) due to a logic inversion of its ERR signal, this was quickly resolved.

On h1sush56 the old models were stopped, and the new ones started on at a time. We resolved the SDF safe.snap and filter filters files for the new models as we started them.

Once the new models were stable, we restarted the DAQ. The sequence was: restart 0-leg, restart h1edc, restart 1-leg.

Following the DAQ restart, we noted h1isiham6 had a 0x2000 (ini file mismatch) errror. We reloaded the ini file using the "DAQ LOAD" button which resolved this, we suspect the model was started too quickly for NFS.

Also following the 1-leg restart the daqd process was started on h1daqgds1. We elected to keep this running and no longer run the daqd_dummy_ioc on this system.

I noted that the disconnect chan number of h1edc had increased by 4 (from 357 to 361). This is due to the loss of OPO and OMC in H1EPICS_SUSSW2R.ini, a file I had introduced in Jan 2020 because some ramping bits at that time were missing from SWSTAT. This was fixed when we updated RCG in Sep 2020 and therefore this ini file is no longer needed. For now I've bumped up the expected disconnect number to 361, but on the next EDC restart all the SW2R channels will get removed from EDC.

As a final check that the new models would start automatically we rebooted h1sush56 using the procedure: disable Dolphin switch port, stop user models, stop iop, reboot computer.

Unfortunately the production system is still vulnerable to the DAQ time jump which can be sent by h1oaf1 when another Dolphin'ed front end machine starts its Dolphin stream following a reboot. It caused a timing jump of almost one second, which restarted both DAQ legs.

I updated the CDS overview and SDF overview MEDMs. Jeff is updating the SITEMAP.
