After yesterday's pitch and yaw adjustments, today we measured the lateral, vertical, and axial position of FC1. We began with axial, which we found to be too long by 16.1mm. Rahul and Betsy adjusted the SUS cage forward and I remeasured the axial position, and also measured the lateral and vertical position (coordinates are LHO site local, w.r.t. to WBSC2 0,0,0):
Betsy indicated that one side of the cage did not move as far as the other during the axial position adjustment, so there is likely to be a yaw adjustment needed. As we are now out of tolerance on lateral and vertical (thanks to the pitch, yaw, and axial adjustments), and any yaw correction will likely change lateral and axial position, we will have to do another position measurement after the yaw adjustment, but before any further position adjustments. We plan to do this at the earliest opportunity (likely sometime during the next Laser Safe window).
