HAM4 HWS picomotor install HWSY

Follow up to alog 60633. WP 10035. Procedure T2100117 and cabling doc D1101814

TJ, Austin, Camilla. Thursday 11th November PM.

Summary: All picomotors in and tested. TCS in chamber work is done. Need to replace the in-air 25pin cable before functional.

HWSY Steer M1: We set up the laser and two iris, see photo. Following instructions in T2100117, marked position of pedestal with clamps and removed assembly from HAM4. We removed optic and added picomotors (set from the SQZ install with longer cables- 8301-UHV--00-C21Q002). Replaced optic, used top gun to blow some dust off (photo). Placed back into HAM4 and realigned to both irises. Photos of position here and from above here.
Markings on mirror mount = IXM400.A3 C 14, on pedestal = D1101898-v1-SN003.

HWSY Steer M2:  Removed 2" mirror mount from HAM4. We removed optic and added picomotors. Replaced optic, used top gun to blow some dust off (photo -though it was dustier than photo shows). We had the same issue as LLO where the picomotor meant the mirror mount wouldn't sit flush on the pedestal. We did the same as LLO and turned the picomotor at an angle and added 3 pairs stacked vented of washers. We also had to move the pedestal slightly as with the dowel pin, the pedistal did not have enough yaw range. Photos of pedistal before and after shift, and of postion from above here
This is definitely the least stable of all the optics but we don't see it going anywhere. See video of SR2 reflected beam moving while TJ wiggles it.

Other: Jim ran the CB to flange cable but it has no captured screws in on the CB side. I added 4-40's to attach it both cables to each side of the cable bracket so it is secure. Normally the screws to attach to other cable housing would have been added to the cable in production so not easy to add now.  Photo here, the top side 40-4's look part way in but there are threaded 4-40's so holding their cable to the bracket fine.

Picomotor testing:  We had Fil help us with some troubleshooting but to conclude, all in vacuum pico-motors are working but the in-air (flange to picocontroller) cable is not working correctly. We tested all the picomotors with a working in-air cable, all are orientated correctly: x = yaw, y = pitch. Fil will look at finding a replacement that can be added in the coming weeks.
From Fil's testing, the good connections in broken cable were 1 2 3 9 10 11 12 13(?) 14 15 16 22 23 24 25.

Picomotors can be accessed via: sitemap > TCS > HWS ITM{X/Y} > PICO_H
Picomotor is called H1:SYS-MOTION_C_PICO_H_{}
Controller channel   x y
#1-4 in-air HWS table controls for periscope mirrors. - -
#5 HWSY M1  Yaw: +x = SR2 refelcted beam moves in +x Pitch: + y = up
#6 HWSY M2 Yaw: +x = SR2 refelcted beam moves in -x Pitch
#7 HWSX M2  Yaw Pitch
#8 HWSX M1 Yaw Pitch

All worked as expected. Where only Yaw or Pitch is written we tested the pico was working be feeling and hearing it move but didn't sett a laser up to see the direction of movement.

I cannot get the advanced screens or the singe motor screens to open via medm from the PICO_H screen. I wonder if this is a similar problem to the rcg one Jonathon/Dave fixed last week (alog 60552). Tagging cds.

Daniel fixed the picomotor medm screens and HWS HAM4 picomotor names. WP#10055

We also discovered that the tcs system has lost all of its filters. This happened when we added a top_names block for TCS, in order to support a separate AWC top name. Even so no channel name changed, the names of the filters in the filter file did. For instance, ITMX_RH_INVERSE_FILTER became TCS_ITMX_RH_INVERSE_FILTER, etc. Since RCG only updates the module name list and not the actual filters, the old filters were removed next time the file was saved with foton. The old filters are now restored with the updated names.

Fil replaced the in-air cable and all picos have now been tested with correct cabling: alog 60674
