After the last round of FC1 IAS, we knew there was going to be some yaw error leftover from the axial position move, so first we looked at pitch/yaw. Indeed there was a good bit of yaw (~5.7mrad), so this was corrected. We then moved on to checking position errors after the yaw move. Luckily, the yaw move pushed the lateral position within tolerance and improved the axial position; there was still some vertical error, so this was corrected. At the end of the day FC1 is now sitting at:
Axial (mm) | Lateral (mm) | Vertical (mm) | Pitch (µrad) | Yaw (µrad) | |
Target | -18593.5 | 3954.6 | -101.3 | 2618 up | 3578 CW |
Actual | -18592.8 | 3653.7 | -101.9 | 2760 up | 3627 CW |
Error | +0.7 | -0.9 | -0.6 | 142 up | 49 CW |
Tolerance | +/-3.0 | +/-1.0 | +/-1.0 | +/-50 | +/-50 |
For those not used to seeing the pitch/yaw target numbers in radians, we're targeting 0.15° up for pitch and 0.205° CW for yaw. Since we had to adjust vertical position, we have to take one more look at pitch. We plan on doing that on Monday, working around the midday Laser Hazard window.
