H1 SUS IMs DAC Outputs Aren't Driving the SUS
J. Kissel

I'm continuing along the lines of health checks after the the 2021 vent, and I've found that the SUS IMs are non-functional. My suspicion is that the DAC cards are not driving out any signal, as a result of the recent ham2b IO chassis upgrade (can't find an aLOG), or the OSB building-wide power outage (LHO aLOG 60683).

Evidence:
    - Driven M1 drive to M1 sensor transfer functions show absolutely no coherence.
    - The coil driver monitor circuits don't show any action when you turn ON or OFF alignment offsets

Thing's I've verified / checked for functionality:
    - Drive comes out of the TEST bank
    - EUL2OSEM matrix is as normal.
    - Verified COILOUTF gains are the correct sign for a HAUX M1 AOSEM suspension stage
    - Can see the MASTER OUT requesting drive,
    - Can see the user model GDS_TP screen showing the requested drive
    - Can see the IOP model GDS_TP screen showing the requested drive
    - There are no digital watchdogs tripped, USER model or IOP Software Watchdogs
    - The electronics in SUS-C4 all look happy except for one suspicious thing (sadly IM1, IM2, IM3, and IM4 are still labeled as SM1, PMMT1, PMMT2, SM2)
         - 18 bit DAC interface cards are connected to the 18-bit AI chassis
         - 18-bit AI chassis has "look alive" lights ON indicating that the IO Chassis can "see" its DACs and AI chassis
         - AI chassis is connected to HAM-A coil drivers
         - HAM-A Coil driver coil drive lights are ON and green.
         - SUSPICIOUS -- BIO Input and Output connects are made, but lights are *OFF*. I thought that these HAM-A drivers have been jumpered with their low-pass filters ON, but these are the ONLY HAM-A drivers that *did* get remote control switching installed. I THINK THESE SHOULD BE ON AND LIT UP...
         - The HAM-A coil driver output is connected to the SUS-R2 remote rack UK satellite amplifiers
         - The UK satamp lights are all ON and green

I attach a picture of the bottom of the CER's rack SUS-C4, which houses the HAM-A drivers for IM1 = SM1, IM2 = PMMT1, IM3 = PMMT2, and IM4 = SM2 at rack U-heights U14, U13, U8, and U7, highlighting the suspicious lack of bright green lights on the right-hand side of the drivers which house the Binary Input and Binary Output connections.
I traced this information from both -v8 and -v7 of the HAM2 wiring diagram, D0902810.

I didn't realize/remember until writing this aLOG that I should have checked the BIO chassis and IO chassis BIO card lights...

I've asked Fil to take a look when he get's the chance.

Opened corresponding FRS Ticket 21587 to track the solution.

This morning I looked at the binary cabling for the IM's Jeff reported on yesterday. The binary cables on the IO expansion chassis were not connected correctly after the IO chassis upgrade. After swapping the cables the front LEDs (Run/Acq and Enable/Disable) on the coil drivers are turned on.

I've confirmed that the SUS IMs now all work again -- see LHO aLOG 60911.
FRS Ticket 21587 has been closed.

Thanks Fil!
