Summary of Open Loop Gain Measurement of the New Damping Loops on the HTTS and OMC suspension

[Jeff, Varun]

I did a quick measurement of the open gain loops of the OMC suspension and the OM1 suspension in each degree of freedom. The summary of these measurements is given below:

  1. The HTTS OLG measurement is consistent with the one made by Jeff in alog 60645 for all degree of freedoms. The plots are attached for the OLG measurements of longitudinal, pitch and yaw.
  2. The OMCS OLG measurement in vacuum suggests
    1. Improved damping performance above 30 Hz in longitudinal and yaw degree of freedom compared to the in-air measurement from alog 60049.
    2. The measurement is consistent with the one made by Jeff in alog 60049 for transverse, vertical and roll degrees of freedom.
    3. The overall gain of the OMCS-pitch is now increased by a factor of 2 to achieve similar suppression at the resonance frequency to the in-air measurement from alog 60049.

This is a late alog. All these measurements are saved in the SusSVN repositories: /ligo/svncommon/SusSVN/sus/trunk/OMCS/H1/OMC/SAGM1/Data
