Francisco, Craig This afternoon Francisco and I went out to the PSL racks with the PCAL voltage calibrator to check the calibration of H1:LSC-EXTRA_AI_1, an extra ADC port at the PSL racks. We did this because we are planning to use this channel to get the data from the integrating sphere for the power measurement at the top of HAM2. Overall the channel H1:LSC-EXTRA_AI_1_OUT16 is extremely well-calibrated into volts, reporting the PCAL voltage calibrator volts to within 0.2%, (See plot 1). I looked at the filter module usingfmse LSC-EXTRA_AI_1 -g now --print_foton
There is FM1 engaged, 'ct2V', which is just a gain of 6.1e-04 for the ADC factor. Reporting below the voltage measurements of H1:LSC-EXTRA_AI_1_OUT16 vs each PCAL voltage calibrator input. The H1:LSC-EXTRA_AI_1_OUT16 measurements are made sort of ad-hoc, by having me look on ndscope using a Y-cursor placed by eye. The DeltaY on H1:LSC-EXTRA_AI_1_OUT16 voltage from the noise of the PCAL voltage calibrator was around 130-160 mVpp, with some small drift (see plot 2).PCAL voltage input | H1:LSC-EXTRA_AI_1_OUT16 voltage | ratio H1:LSC-EXTRA_AI_1_OUT16 / PCAL --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0 | -0.000600 | - 1 | 0.998207 | 0.998207 2 | 1.99766 | 0.99883 -1 | -0.999414 | 0.999414 -2 | -1.99824 | 0.99912 -3 | -2.99718 | 0.99906 -4 | -3.99599 | 0.9989975 -5 | -4.99482 | 0.998964
