B:PD1 adjustment. After Robert's alog (64854) and Georgia's photos (64993) today we added 2mm spacer to B:PD1 (OFI_PD_A) made up of 2x 1/4" washers: 1 normal and 1 oversized 91525A120 (1" dia) stacked between the base and post. This PD has two double bases stacked on top of each other. Craig realigned the PD to be centered on the beam and PD the reflection on the beam dump. Photo of final position attached here and here. Beam entering of the retro beam looks good - Georgia will add the IR camera photo.
Co-alignment. Sheila and Georgia checked the co-alignment of the green and IR beans near FC1 and they weren't good ~1/2 beam radius apart. We will think about what this means.
PEEK cable clamps. We've removed the SQZ PEEK cable clamps that are easy to reach. The ones in places we care about (either size of the green fibers and next to the G:PD1 beam) have been replaced by the old style hole-punched thin metal strip with a bolt, photo. There are still clamps placed by SUS and SEI that could probably be removed.
Attached top down photo of the VOPO /OPOS platform attached.
Attaching some photos of the oversized washer (first and second attachment) - the photos show two washers but we only used one of this type (+1 normal washer).
IR photos of the OFI rejected PD with the beam blocked (third attachment) and unblocked (fourth and fifth attachment).
We also took photos of SFI2 from the squeezer input side to look for the reflection off the aperture stop, (photos 6, 7, 8, 9). I don't see any ghost beam but I do see a beam dumped on the B:L2 aperture stop, seen to the right of the SFI2 body.
We took a pic of the seed/CLF rejected dc PD and saw the beam is a little off in yaw, and there are a couple of beams visible on the PD surface (10th attachment).
Also took some photos of the HAM6 crew, HAM7 crew, and a quick video.
Co-alignment: Sheila remembered that Keita found the IR/ FC green co-alignment was bad when moved the OPOS from the lab into HAM7 too alog 60014. At the time we blamed H:M1 being moved when the J-clamp was moved. I trended back the pico controlled and found:
In future we can monitor the alignment of this path using the FC REFL path on SQZT7, but that was only set up 2 weeks ago (alog 64677) so doesn't help us now.
