The DARM offset sweep measurements of the IFO give us a readout angle of 27 degrees but no sign has been explicity mentioned. Quantum noise models show that one sign of the LO angle increases RPN while one decreases it. We had believed that we were on the 'correct side of DARM', but there hadn't been an independent measurement that had confirmed it yet. Today, after one of the lock-losses, Dan flipped the sign of the DARM loop to lock on the 'other side of DARM'. The noise clearly looks worse both with and without squeezing, which confirms that we were on the correct side all along.
