TCS Chiller Water Level Top-Off (Bi-Weekly, #21118)
This is for yesterday, April 4th.
Addressed TCS Chillers (10:12am local) & later CLOSED FAMIS #21118:
- TCSx Chiller: Had level of 29.5 cm. Added 700mL for ~over~ 30.0cm.
- Still required alot of water (known issue and Ryan S reported not finding leaks during his inspection earlier in the day).
- TCSx's Chiller ruler/scale fell off the chiller. I tried to restick it on the water level the best I could by sticking it on adhesive "footprint" which was still on the chiller (probably repositioned +/- 1-2mm).
- When removing the cap I could also see that the metal flow straightener was sticking out; I pushed it back in.
- For the first 500mL of filling the level did not change. For the last 200mL, there was also no change and then suddenly it popped up FAST, thus causing me to overfill (such that the red indicator bobber went up and out of view). I let Camilla know & she suspected there was an air bubble in the water level cyllinder.
- TCSy Chiller: Had level of 9.7 cm. Added 125mL for 10.0cm.
