Over the past couple of weeks, we have been taking high resolution spectra of the 500/1000 Hz frequencies to try and mitigate the violin modes as much as possible in prep for O4. In doing this, we have discovered 4 new violin mode frequencies, and have been monitoring them for some time. After some testing, we believe that 2 of the new modes are on the ETMY bank 2 and the other two are on ETMX bank 2:
ETMX:
1008.820 Hz - ETMX 18
1008.697 Hz - ETMX 19
ETMY:
1005.4035 Hz - ETMY 16
1005.1055 Hz - ETMY 17
We have created damping/monitor filters on the modes above so we can start looking for settings. In addition, we have set to damping on pitch for the time being, and have saved the changed settings in SDF for the violin matrix. Thankfully, the new modes don't seem super detrimental, but as of now they are some of the highest modes we have. A followup alog with updated damping settings for these modes will come soon when we find them.
