I have pulsed the SR3 at 2W for 10 minutes starting at 1366116331 with the AWG lines on.
The idea is to see how large an effect this size of pulse makes. I started this just after we powered up so if it causes a lockloss then it will have cooled down and re-locked for when people come in.
A similar pulse for the ITM ring heaters makes a ~2 hour transient and shows how various buildups change. If this size pulse is ok we can try it again when fully thermalised at some point, but maybe it'll need to be bigger, unsure.
For reference, the step-functions response of the SR3 heater was measured here: LLO aLOG 27262. The time constant, tau, is approximately 70 minutes (based upon reading off the time it takes to reach 70% of the steady-state value).
