This morning after checking how the EY wind fence held up we were asked to inspect damage at EX. This damage has been known and remained constant for some time. A plan was developed to repair this damage with hardware and tools from the EY fence build.
The second cable from the bottom had broken at the connection point on two different uprights. In one of those cases the cable had unlaced from the hogrings, leaving only about 10 feet still connected to the panel, the rest was hanging to the ground.
The fix was to trim and tape the frayed cable. Then a piece of cable long enough to overlap the two broken ends was secured through the clamp at the upright. Then the new and damaged cables were tentioned and secured with cable clamps. The cable that was laying on the ground was laced back through the existing hogrings and connected in the same way.
