We noticed correlation between the GW channel and corner station accelerometers earlier today (from about 20:18 to 20:22 UTC, May 24). It was noted that the correlation was coincident with some forklift activities onsite (forklift_oplev_glitching, forklift_oplev_strain) , but didn't know the exact time. To see if forklift activity could be responsible for the noise transients in the accelerometers that were witnessed by the GW channel, Jim and I conducted some tests while we were unlocked in the spirit of last week's site activity injections to try to replicate the phenomenon. We found that stopping the forklift, idling at the point marked with a star in the attached map and then driving away caused a similar time- and frequency-response in the CS accelerometers to the one observed earlier today (forklift_sai_slide).
