OPS Evening Shift Summary

TITLE: 06/01 Eve Shift: 23:00-07:00 UTC (16:00-00:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Observing at 132Mpc
SHIFT SUMMARY: One lockloss from the wind, one from an unknown cause (length glitch beforehand), just got back to Observing.
LOG:

Lock #1 Ryan C got NLN at 19:48UTC, Observing at 19:56UTC
There was 2 hours of commissioning time in this lock. Changes made: Elenna decreased input power 70042, Elenna implemented SRCL FF 70052, Elenna adjusted PRCL gain 70052 (to avoid 11Hz locklosses 70044), Sheila adjusted SQZ OPO trans power and OPO TEC temperature 70050 and took SQZ/SRCL data 70053, Jenne updated cleaning jitter subtraction 70054.

Lockloss at 01:19UTC, 1369617587. After 5h30m in NLN. Expected cause: high 30+mph wind, small earthquake. Some 2-4Hz wiggles in traces beforehand.
Reloaded ISC_LOCK guardian so Elenna's PRM gain change would be in effect.

Lock #2 NLN at 03:30UTC, Observing at 03:40UTC.

Relocking was hard, from 30mph wind and trouble again with SRM in init align 70013, this time it was swinging around! After touching PRM, we lost lock at ENGAGE_DRMI_ASC. I then ran an unsuccessful initial alignment: ALIGN_IFO SRC alignment wasn't working and was saturating SRC. So I skipped it by taking ALIGN_IFO DOWN and touched SRM by hand in DRMI locking knowing that everything else was already well aligned.

Changed IY5/6 damping from 0 to 0.01 as Ryan suggested. This is now in GRD.
Lockloss at 05:20UTC, 1369632037. After 1h49 in NLN. No clear reason why. Length glitch in LPY plot 50ms and 25ms before lockloss.

Lock #3 NLN at 06:57UTC, Observing at 07:01UTC.
Super smooth lock acquisition, after 1 round of X-arm INCREASE_FLASHES, I touched ETMX Y 0.6urad and nothing else until we unlocked from a DCPD saturation at MOVE_SPOTS.
I added the IY5 -0.01 gain damping Ryan C found (70039) for IY5/6 violins into the guardian, attached plot to see it working, slowly but surely. Tagging SUS.
