TITLE: 07/09 Day Shift: 15:00-23:00 UTC (08:00-16:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Corrective Maintenance
SHIFT SUMMARY:
- Began shift with looking into a potential electronics failure on ITMX, causing ISI WDs to trip and breaking the lock
- Dave's alog - no immediate cause so Jim is coming onsite for futher invesitgation
- Jim and I power cycled the coil driver chassis in the CER which seemed to have fixed the issue - Jim's alog
- 17:30 - inc 5.6 EQ from Chile
- After recovery, I began an initial alignment, which again got stuck trying to align MICH BRIGHT (an issue independent of today's events) - even after touching the BS and getting the peaks/trough to have a delta of 3.5
- Going to try skipping MICH BRIGHT and SRC and trying to relock ISC
- Again having issues 2x trying to lock DRMI, I suspect it is due to ITMX issue this morning, so I am going to restore sliders back to the last time DRMI was locked and offloaded - 7/7/23 4:24 UTC - no dice, still cannot acquire MICH bright
- Now attempting to restore suspensions back to when H1 was last at NLN, but before the lockloss - 7/8/23 21:07 - restore slider script failed and is not working when trying this
- I decided to retry doing an IA to try touching up the BS once again
- I noticed this time around when ALIGN IFO was in ACQUIRE MICH BRIGHT, the ASC loops (INP1/PRC1, but mostly INP) was mostly off in P
- I tried to lower the INP1/PRC1 signals in P and did so by moving the BS, it ironically looked on AS AIR that the spot was getting worse, but the ASC signals looked like they were converging oddly enough. It should be known that by this point, I already moved the BS ~ 4 ur from its original position, way too much for sure, so I will be reverting back to its starting point
- At this point I've exhausted all ideas and contacted Daniel who is now on TS helping to troubleshoot
- 22:34 - inc 4.6 EQ from Taiwan, 22:54 - EQ mode activated
- Unfortunately have to pass H1 to Ibrahim with the issue still ongoing, Daniel is currently on TS helping, and I have sent an additional SOS out to MM
